Imagine Calvin’s favorite cereal (Chocolate-Frosted Sugar Bombs) getting high fiber and 30% less sugar.

Cheerios recently reformulated all of their varieties to be gluten-free. As a result, they all taste like dust.

On the other hand, it’s moving toward Petey chow.

I know, Alice, I know. They just can’t leave perfection alone. Always tinkering, making it better, or safer, or more healthy, or whatever the excuse. And of course the price goes up concomitantly, because somebody has to pay for all those improvements!

I don’t ever remember being allowed to pick out my own cereal. Of course, in the 50s, they didn’t have so much sugar. I remember Gabby Hayes saying “Some people like their cereal sweet and some people like it not so sweet. That’s he beauty of Puffed Wheat. You can sweeten it yourself.” (Gosh, am I old!)

The makers of Blammo heard about your antics and decided they needed to make a change for the better, Alice.

Cheerios already tasted like dust. My wife buys it, so I’ll mix it with other cereals sometimes, but mostly I use it as a treat for the rooster and hens that come to the front gate most mornings. I think the round shape is easier to spot in the grass.

Grainpaw, that was too funny! I do keep chocolate something or other for the grandkids! You’re only a kid for a little while!

I like Cheerios. For my kids’ first/second Easter I hid fruity Cheerios in the eggs and called it candy. They were perfect happy.

Notice as she gets “warmer,” her hand rises higher and higher above her nose. I think she may be peeking!

We all must be use to this. They either tamper with perfection or eliminate the product altogether. That happened with what use to be my favorite restaurant.

I stopped buying pickle-flavored chips after they ‘improved’ the taste. And I am still desperately searching for products that I used to love when I was young. Seems they stopped making them :(

and often by using high-fructose corn syrup, which is bad for all living things..Not to be confused with healthy fruit sugar (which is the same chemical!) Nutritionists, humbug!
