Reminds me of when I was young, our family went camping with friends for a week. It poured every day. Finally we packed up the tent in the pouring rain and headed home early. Last time we ever went camping as a family.

Couldn´t stop looking at panel 1, hasn´t rained hard here since May 2023!

Richard Thompson , in the annotated version of Cul de Sac, Volume 1, said that the first panel made him happy. It is pretty cool looking.

I always enjoyed the beach in the rain. Felt clean and cool and no one else around. And no need for special clothing.

It’s not a surprise that the high point to Petey’s day was the talk with dad…

Used to dance in the rain even after high school

As long as there’s no thunder and lightning, the beach is fine in the rain. Actually, I might like that better than blazing hot sun.

There are three parts to the water cycle, and all of them are equally dry.

Sounds like everyone is all wet.

In my early youth we vacationed in the lovely town of Blue Point, Long Island, to visit the beach (that is now closed) and swim in the Great South Bay. One day it stormed like mad in the morning; in the afternoon we went to the beach. Dark gray storm clouds hung low over the bay and the water, mirroring the sky, thrashed itself into peak after peak of white foam. It was MAGNIFICENT! For all the warm, sunny hours I enjoyed in that water, I didn’t fall in love with it until I saw it after that storm — a love of a lifetime.
