You could be thankful that Christmas is almost here.

If Thanksgiving was in late January it would less over shadowed by Christmas, probably.

Is that a “Marie Antoinette” doll?

Thanksgiving has always been the first party of the Christmas season.

POP goes the dirty little weasels head

Squeezed the little man’s head off.

Personally, I try to contain my rage when thinking about Thanksgiving.

Maybe you can be thankful for your Halloween Candy… ☺

Miss Manners says it’s appropriate to wait 11 months before sending a ‘Thank You’ card for any gift. That way it works like a dentist’s reminder card, letting them know it’s almost time for another gift.

Since Christmas is when the most people give the most presents all at one time, it’s just convenient to get every ‘Thank You’ out of the way at once; you don’t even have to remember who gave you what.

There are a few houses in the area that have skipped any Thanksgiving/autumnal decorations and have Christmas lights and decorations up and lit already. I guess they have negative associations with the feast day and nothing to be thankful for.

The Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in the middle of October. I like that time better.

When I was little, we KNEW what we were thankful for. My Sunday school hammered it into my head. Freedom of religion, the ability to afford food, clothing and shelter, and our families. I didn’t have a clue what any of this meant as a preschooler.

They lose more Lego heads that way. . . :)

And for the next two months or so everyone who works in retail sales will need therapy.

Uh-Oh, Alice, you better hope Elf on the Shelf isn’t listening, or worse yet, Clown in the Ceiling! He’ll take your Halloween candy back!

Like Sally Brown, Alice Otterloop needs to be thankful for all that she has NOW.
