A snail’s pace has been documented

Although they are not particularly speedy creatures, snails can travel about 0.03 miles per hour or one meter per hour. This may not seem very fast, but it is actually quite speedy for snails that spend most of its time crawling along the ground. In fact, the world’s fastest land snail named Archie has been recorded moving at a speed of 0.06 miles per hour which is actually twice the speed of typical snail.

Well sure, I never thought of it that way. I used to keep snails in my aquarium, I still have a couple of their helmets.
