The US, Canada and the Philippines are the only countries in the world that uses the month / day / year format (MM/DD/YY). Most of the rest of the world uses day / month / year (DD/MM/YY). Although, in Canada the officially recommended format for a numerical date is actually YYYY – MM – DD.
