Why would Braces wait until he’s standing outside this (probably well guarded) building in the middle of the night with a giant robot to start explaining his plan?
This robot is ready to rock, isn’t he? Jumps into the truck, heads for the building…ready to kick some [word that I would get bleeeped on if I wrote it].
Braces explains his plan (in one sentence no less) once again.
What a cunning genius!
But I AM pleased that the plot actually advanced somewhat today.
Let’s see now, they’re outside the Genesis Corporation building today, so they should get to the front door by oh, next Sunday!
At first, thought this was going to be Ellison’s story “Brillo” about the cop having to field-test the robot on the street, with things going wrong because of its interference. Then when Tracy’s robot picked up signals, thought of “Colossus: The Forbin Project,” with the two computers detecting each other and joining forces to enslave the humans. (Or when it said something wasn’t right, suspected its next words might be, “Oilllll cannnnn!) But now it looks like the evil plot was to bore us so badly that even a giant robot fight would be welcomed….

OO-ooo-o-hhh - all this … movement … action … robot rolls into truck - truck goes to Genesis (though we don’t see it) - robot unloads - hhh-uh - it’s making me dizzy - so dizzy Braces looks like The Hulk in Panel 4 - ‘cept he’s blue -
think the lower part of the ‘sideburn’ is just a bad jaw shadow.
I’ve been lurking long enough, time to post.
First, I’ll admit to being more entertained by these comments than by the actual comic itself. I gather that the city Dick Tracy works in would be a perfect place to commit a crime because the entire police force moves at a glacial pace. Get in and get out at normal speed– the place would be a knock-over.
I’m betting that in the up-coming “War of the Robots” Mecha-Dick beats Magnum Force, but not before both robots end up as useless scrap. That’s if they don’t rust from inaction first.

MF is smarter than you are Braces. He listened to you repeat the dang plan so many times that it’s now engraved on his circuits.
In panel three Traze-R is wearing Elvis sideburns!

Wait, MF is able to load himself in the truck? This is moving waaaay too fast–shouldn’t Locher take a couple of days to explain that?
In other news, the Baron has a chip in his head.

MF is setting the stage where he will turn on Braces and run amok. Maybe he can break Shirl(ey) out of jail so she can battle her sister.
Robo-Tracy has sideburns in one panel and then he loses them.
Shirl(ey)’s sister got that real long hair extension back!!
Let me ask a question: What, if any, is the difference between Headquarters and Tracy’s Crime Center??
So MF is going to break into the Lobby and then what? Those wheels look like they can be a B*tch on the stairs.

I think MF is on our side, he doesnt want to hear Braces give us one more recap of the (thin) plotline either.

You’re giving Locher too much credit Regg.

Regg, trust me…Locher makes this stuff up as he goes along. He’s not thinking that far ahead.

Clearly, Ludwig, Tracy’s Crime Center is far more intimate than HQ. Also, the Crime Center does not permit side-burns.

In panel three, Liz says, “He must have a glitch in his curcuits.”
I think we all can figure out who she’s refering to, and it’s not the robot…
KidHuevos about 16 years ago
If Braces’ hideout is on a deserted farm, why is there a skyscraper across the street as MF loads up?
LudwigVonDrake about 16 years ago
Marguerite, I think there’s a little blue pill for that problem!
