I like the way Tess’s head seems to be swiveling in panel 3. That proves my point that women can know what’s going on all around them.

Her head’s too big in panel 1. I think I just fell out of love. Spending two panels on Prof. Noll would seem to indicate the start of a new arc, but different from what seemed to be starting over the last week. Are we coming apart at the “seems” here?

Agreed. It’s the best he’s looked in months.

Too bad Tess in Panel one is a distorted mess with those arms! She used to be such a hottie….

LudwigVonDrake said: “Groucho Marx called … he wants his eyebrows back”. I rather like that verbal sardonic trist of the knife. I’ve been complaining for years. But Mattie says the strip must ‘evolve’ or it will go out of existence! (?) Still waiting to hear from Jeff on why DL should be all “shook-up” on the new story when Braces’ tale was already “complete” when he was told of retirement. Dosn’t he do any forward planning or is it addressed only while he is on to the board? Other items may be too sensative to comment on, but come on Jeff, comment please!

As Tracy and Tess embraced, a sly grin formed on Dick’s mouth. “Ahh”, he thought, “It doesn’t get any better then this”. Tracy felt like a conquering hero being welcomed home after a long hard battle by his beautiful lady. It was a while since he last felt the rush that saving the day and defeating the bad guys brought him. He was beginning to feel young and frisky.

Tess hoped Dick didn’t realize how troubled she was as she embraced him. “Last thing I need is for him to have one of his anxiety attacks”. She resolved to act loving and caring towards him. “You said you had a close call today. Your job is so dangerous”. Dick didn’t want the mood to change so he quickly tried to think of something macho to say. “I feel safe on the job. As I was coming home I almost got hit”,, Tracy paused to create some drama before continuing “By professor Noll and his antique car”. Tracy finished saying as he began to undo his tie. “Oh baby! Feeling mighty lucky today”! he eagerly thought as the grin on his face widened. Tess paused in her tracks. The mention of Noll’s name immediately caused her concern and made her cold as ice. “Could he possibly know”? She wondered. Turning to face Dick she blurted out,” He IS obsessed with that car”. Tess saw Dick start to undo his tie with those stubby little fingers of his. “Time to get a headache”, she wickedly muttered under her breath.

Ahh, BB! You took the words right out of my mouth! Tess feels a headache coming on! Besides, the smell of that skunkbush and mud on his knees changes the mood of things. All she wanted from Diet was where to get a replacement battery.

Where does Tess get her clothes! I’m loving the “vest off the shoulder look”.

NOT. Dick - get Tess some decent clothes for Christmas, would you please? Thanks!

EatDickTracySandwiches noted: ” …get Tess some decent clothes for Christmas, would you please? Thanks!” Good point ‘EDTS’ - Regretably,it’s another item poor Dick L. doesn’t pay much attention to.Before Lizz became Chief he had her, for several years, in a white turtle neck top regularly, like as if it had been depicting Dick Tracy’s tie. So unlike his predecessor Rick Fletcher, who subscribed to a Hollywood Fashion Magazine as a guide to keep his female clothing chic and up-todate

Basemanbob said: “…Tess saw Dick start to undo his tie with those stubby little fingers of his. I’ve been reading for several months now and enjoyed many a chuckle in your serial on “Mattie” Square. Seem’s that combined with Judy H’s posts he quickly put his Magpie vehicle into reverse gear and like Gould’s Matty got “steamed” and is now a “shrunken” head in Mr.Bribry collection. As the DT Author “in waiting” you may have some idea of how many weeks it may take for us to get a first glimpse of Mr. Noll and his car? The pacing is so slow. DL and Kilian in a 1993 (Molly Drear)story had an Antique Car dealer, a Mr. Wheels. Could there be a connection ?

Sydney: Thanks, and your comment is so true also! I think that Tess got some hand-me-downs from Liz when Liz became the sherrif. Who will get promoted next so Tess can have some new threads? Hopefully not Sam.

You can see the lust in Tracy’s eyes in the third panel. The way his eyes linger on Tess’ cheek squiggle burns the page with passion!

BB, I meant a GOOD story from Mr. Locher. You should be writing the strip but since you don’t kowtow to certain people that won’t happen.

wndrwrthg says: My dear Mr. Von Drake, Which do you wish, another story or a good story? You cannot have both.

I said I wanted a good story. Redgrl7 wants another story. I want a story that MAKES SENSE. Is that asking too much from Dickie Locher??
