What Tracy ought to do is run at full speed out the door and down the steps, then stop abruptly. With any length, Johnny Nothing won’t be able to stop in time, and his momentum will carry him down the impossible-to-climb, eight-foot tall steps which surround the building.

It looks like the audience is in a pit. Are Liz, Sam, and the rest of the police department still there as if nothing is wrong?

I’m not sure what Locherinsider’s “BOOOOOOOOOING” is intended for ?

Is it like others on the QUALITY of the story and the poor ART (?) or - Is it against Pannel-Panner’s insighteful comment on the ‘worthiness’ of sarcastic comment ? Well deserved, as most will agree.

Casting him as a fearful, “running away”, kind of weak, ineffectual detective, projects the Dick Tracy ‘personality’ as being a 21st century Casper Milquetoast -

Now the “Timid Soul from Napervile”. H.T.Webster would be proud of the road Locher has crafted for the hero in what may well be his last year before Tracy ‘shakily’ steps out of the comic panels like Annie forever.

And what ever happened to that brave detective that inspired Al Capp to call his “parody” ‘FEARLESS’ Fosdick ?

The man that dived and grabbed the gun at Flattop was about to kill him ?

What a horrific ‘memor’y Dick Locher will leave to stain our memories !

Tracy should be able to get to the front door pretty easy, judging by panel 2 he looks to be in the front foyer

The Blank will get a whiff of Macy’s pants and drop the gun because he is gagging for breath. And Macy will overtake him.

I’m sad. That it’s the last week for Annie. :(

Today’s repeat panel of the science museum doesn’t feature the tree or bush or triffid or whatever on the left side. Let’s see if it returns the next time the “artist” cops out of actually drawing 3 panels.

fishbulb: the triffid is in the other repeating science museum panel. The one that’s being repeated today last showed up on May 24. Oddly enough, on 5/24 the left wall of the museum was mostly black; today it’s almost all white. Apparently a very large flock of pigeons visited in the intervening time… and left an editorial comment…

Kill off Tracy and leave Annie alone.

Now I remember why I keep a sharp stick around. To poke it in my eyes every time I stop to read this….um … . . er…… uh….nope, can’t come up with a proper sounding noun….
