The money trail beckons to the great dick
His sleuthing will surely turn the trick
A transaction here or a transaction there
Tracy will give them all his best stare
Where oh where has all the cash gone
It’s vanished like the night before the coming dawn
One hundred million in cash would be a lot of fun
In hundred dollar bills it weighs more than a ton
In gold it is more than twice that weight
So look for someone who’s had a hernia of late
A pile of cash in one hundred dollars bills
Eighty four cubic feet is what it would fills
Not an easy sum to carry in a bag
In fact it would be a considerable drag
A trifle point that we are not to see
So let it be a secret just between you and me
Just where this story is doomed to wander
Is something that is really hard to ponder
So I’ll just sit back in my chair and crack a big smile
Knowing that this story is going to take a long while.

There’s a Science Fiction movie, “The Arrival” (and “Arrival II”) where the aliens had knees that were hinged to function both ways… something like “double jointed”.
marguerite, how do you know about king cakes? I thought they were only for us NOLA types.
And yes, I agree with your pronouncement about what it looks like.
Where there’s money there’s a motive. And where there’s $100,000,000 there’s a truck (or bullock cart) to bandy it about, and possibly a compactor to crush it into a more portable size, and some other kind of machinery to reconstitute it later.
A detective would go to the bank and ask if they got the license number of the truck or bandy, and get a description of it, and ask which direction he was going when he left with the money, and whether he said anything about why he was withdrawing $100,000,000 and what he was planning to do with it, but …
Well this is a BRAND NEW development — Tracy has found a - “MOTIVE”
Finding one has been a problem ever since the the final clash with Anja Nu and a conversation with Johnnny Nothing when the latter told Tracy he was a “DUMB COP”. Read his question again -

Mr. 3D didn’t go inside… he withdrew the money from the atm. $100,000,000 in twenties!
Okay, that makes sense. One ATM wouldn’t have $100,000,000 in it, but Naperville is a good size city with many ATMs, and he could go to other cities if necessary. So, he transferred $100,000,000 to his checking account, then hitched up his bullocks and bandied his ATM card around the city from one ATM to another until the bandy was loaded with 5,000,000 twenty dollar bills.
A detective could trace his route and that might indicate where he was going with the money. The banks won’t give any information without a court order, but even without any evidence of murder or a positive DNA identification of the corpse I think a judge might well issue a warrant just for a missing person investigation.
Of course that’s mere speculation; there is no detective investigating this case. :(

Sure. Mr. 3D provided his wife with all his business transactions on a regular basis.

What happened to the money he withdrew?
Well half of it went for hookers and blow, and the rest was just frittered away…

His knees may or may not be on backwards, but if they aren’t, he should be wearing a skirt

you could arrange these panels in any order and it would still make as much narrative sense.
this is not a compliment.

what bank even has $100m in cash laying around for some homeless-looking guy with a butterfly tattoo to withdraw?
