Two little terrorists on the runIn, they suddenly have been doneNo longer making bombs, dictating termsNow they’re just providing food for some wormsIn their lives they sowed sorrow and fearAbout their demise, we’ll shed not a tearThey just should have committed petty little crimesOr perhaps absconded to far healthier climesGloria and Mina made sure they were toastNow they’re only fit to be in a pile of compostHow long until the van, to Tracy becomes knownAnd Ted’s all American cover finally gets blown? Was the van ever registered in the dead men’s name? For a terrorist that would really be insaneBut it’s not geniuses we’re talking about hereJust low life scum who traded in fear. Thanks you, Rene Tray, mzkdad, Josh, margueritem and Det.DD.
I’m considering getting the old Dick Tracy serials/films, but I’m of limited means currently. I was just wondering – which one would be the best to start with, to get the best enjoyment out of it?
BillT: don’t jump the gun here. So far, all we know is that they’re wanted by the FBI… for something. We still don’t know if it’s terrorism. Could be anything from bank robbery to internet fraud to being mob hit men. Just gotta wait and see where the evidence takes us…
I’m still celebrating Tracy’s instantaneous transformation from being a dumb coward who was always running away from the baddies to what he is now! Every day now, his ingenuity and heroics wows me!
Yes Carlo ! That projection feature on the back of the wrist is exceptionally innovative. Our New write Mike has come with a fresh bunch of ideas to ‘zing up’ the Dick Tracy strip !
@Asakura“Dick Tracy’s Dilema” was very well done, with good performances (especially by Ian Keith, perfect as Vitamin Flintheart), and some nice camera work (especially one camera shot done through a fan’s spinning blades). I haven’t seen all the Tracy films, but it’s my favorite.
Gotta love that wrist wizard. It’s just far enough ahead of reality to be true to Tracy’s tradition (as the wrist radio was), but not so far ahead as to be unbelievable. And it speeds the plot along nicely!I’m sticking with my idea that Tellum bankrolled those two, and started the rumors of terrorists. (If they hadn’t pocketed some of that money and just paid Morning Gloria…)

The plot thickens…

They’re not wanted anymore.

Aha! So, they weren’t just amateurs hired for a put-up job! But how will Tracy tie them to Tellum, or to Morning Gloria? We await further evidence….

So the wrist wizard’s camera presumably scanned their faces and then cross-referenced them with a national database. Pretty slick, Dick.

margueritem, I’d say the water is thickening, too!
This narrows down things a bit—they were terrorists.

In other thoughts, I’m liking the way the artist/writer credits usually appear as a ‘natural’ part of the artwork

On the subject of old Dick Tracy movies . . .
I’m surprised no one’s mentioned “Dick Tracy vs Gruesome” . . .

I have a special liking for DICK TRACY MEETS GRUESOME because Sara Karloff is a friend of ours.
