What of the stiff Doubleup feed to the vine?

My bet is this is Vincent Vinyl!(Doubleup fed the vine the cable guy; that’ll teach him to show up two hours late!)

I wonder if the guys last words were "Eat me!’, and that is why he is now plant food. (grin)

Maybe Mumbles fed Vinyl to the plant. The poster for his quartet is hanging on the guy’s wall. Maybe Vinyl had something on him. Yes, I’m just guessing.

I’m betting it’s Vinyl. Sad for the pup.

I’m confused. Are there (2) victims? Panda confirmed w/ Doubleup back on 5/4 that body was “fed” to the Muertes vine. And yet today— Panda seems incredulous that there’s a body amid the vine?

They could hide some of those vines in the ivy at Wrigley and sic ’em on visiting outfielders. That might be the only way to give the Cubbies a chance at a pennant.

Good point about the ivy at Wrigley. Of course it it was an outfielder from another team, the vine would have to spit him out!

I do believe this is an unathorized corpse the vine is munching on. No wonder Panda is upset!

It’s got to be a pretty lousy newspaper to just have a 1-page sports section on the last page.

Where do these vines come from? The biggest ones I’ve heard of are the Venus fly trap and pitcher plants, neither big enough for human victims. Wouldn’t such a plant at “work” emit rather obnoxious odors for living quarters?Idea must have come from a Tarzan movie – where a victim would step on a vine, vine curl around his leg, and pull him off screaming into the jungle?

The term I’ve heard used is “Bite Me”, not “Eat Me”?

Muerte vines come from the Amazon valley, of course!

I am a bit confused, also, by Panda’s surprise at finding a victim in the muerte vine. The most economical explanation is, as suggested above, that this is a second victim, and maybe in a second vine (how many does the hideout have?). One of the victims is sure to be Vinyl; the question is, which? Is Vinyl the first, “authorized,” victim? Or is he the second, snuck in by Mumbles and his quartet? Will this lead to a falling out among thieves? And worse (weren’t we forewarned that half-a-dozen baddies would buy the farm in this arc?)….

Was the guy Joe Biden?
