Abner seems to be something of a quitter. He didn’t rub out B-B Eyes per contract; now, though Tracy is still jammed up in Trap Two, Kadaver has lost confidence in his Trap Three. What a loser! Meanwhile, Rikki’s fanatical loyalty to AK probably portends her doom. Instead of getting out while she can, she has chosen to stay for the showdown. That sounds fatal.
I don’t think it’s loyalty that makes Rikki want to stay. I think she wants to stay to watch DT die! If DT makes it out (and by “if” I mean When!), she’ll run and leave AK to his fate – of course under the excuse that she will be somewhere waiting to greet him when he gets out again.
Actually, she engineered his escape from jail this time, so she’s not without brains.

SYDNEY PHILLIPS: Gould’s killing off of his “better creations” is likely why he kept coming up with even better creations. Saving them for future returns is just as rikki – er – risky..That said, I agree with others who are disappointed in this self-appointed master of death – Li’l Abner. Yes, he already spared B.B. Eyes. And we already know he is going to fail at killing Tracy.
.If I were Melies or Venus looking over his shoulder, the one risking doom may well be this executioner who fails to execute!

I hope Abner lives. During my depression, the way the writers have him, he’s a laugh riot to me.
