Anyone want to hear a really bad joke?Stiletta was revealing her scheme to kidnap Dick Tracy’s grandson.“So how do you plan to accomplish this?” Sprocket asked.“Simple,” Stiletta explained. “You know Tracy’s friend… that old ham actor Vitamin Flintheart? His new girlfriend offered to babysit for Junior and Sparkle so they could have a night out. We just snatch the kid when she’s not looking.”“And you can guarantee that this plan will work?” said Sprocket.“Certainly,” replied Stiletta. "This is so easy, it will be like taking a baby from Kandi!I apologise. It’s late… I’m extremely tired… and tomorrow I will probably hate myself for posting this.
So … “if you think I’m crazy, be crazy with me”? Is she offering a way for Sprocket to leave her life of crime, once and for all? Sprocket doesn’t seem to be sold on the idea at all.
By the way, I love the close-up drawing of Stiletta’s face in the last panel.
There will be a live reenactment of a Dick Tracy radio show in Nicholasville in central Kentucky next month. As of 3 days ago, there were still tickets available for the March 14 show. I think it would be fun to see how old-time radio dramas were produced behind the scenes. Read about it here: http://m.centralkynews.com/jessaminejournal/news/local/creative-art-league-tackles-dick-tracy-for-march-old-time/article_f89db192-bb79-11e4-9cea-471d2289e95f.html?mode=jqm
Stiletta is insidious. Will Sprocket fall for this package of soft soap?Simply for the sake of the prospective plot development, I think the answer is yes….
Sprocket might be a creepy possessive murdering swindler BUT she’s not stupid! She’s got to know that with daggerhead giving her so much information she doesn’t really have a choice but to agree to help. Perhaps as some are saying she will try to warn Tracy hoping her and Hi Ho Silver will receive leniency and at some point they can go legit. Oh and on the 24 the wonder car was parallel to the fence. Just saying!
i dont think sprocket will play shotgun to stiletta.. or if she DOES she will… as i surmised a few days ago.. use it to her advantage and alert tracy somehow to the plot.
perhaps pass a message to kandikane to get to vitamin to get to tracy.. thats an appropriate chain of events in tracyville.
and i STILL believe this will end with the supercar plunging into the lake where the santa maria repica is located as an “ironic twist”
Wow, that was news I was not expecting to hear about Leonard Nimoy, but I suppose that no-one can “live long and prosper” forever. In my mind he will always be the age he was during that original Star Trek TV series.
I was wondering that, but I can’t see any obvious answers by looking at the picture. I have no inside information on this aside from the web page I found.
Not to get too off-topic, but since people here seem to like poetry a lot, I offer some Leonard Nimoy poems I found http://www.retroist.com/the-poetry-of-leonard-nimoy/ Scroll to the bottom and click the links for a few of Nimoy many poems.
Another things I learned today is that few people know that the “Vulcan salute” apparently represent the Hebrew letter “shin”: ש.
Thank you all for refraining from the launch of rotten tomatoes.I had my trunk packed and was ready for an early exit.Leonard Nimoy… wow, I just can’t believe it.
I hadn’t even noticed the comments until you pointed it out. The objectors don’t seem to find that the words have any emotional impact, but others find them very emotional. You can’t please all of the people all of the time.
It seems that a lot of people prefer their “art” to be very elaborate because that way, it looks like a lot of work went into it, but it’s actually more challenging to leave things out. This applies to drawings, paintings, and poems as as well. A lot of people find it hard to appreciate “modern art” and Nimoy’s poetry perhaps fits into a similar category.
I liked the look (particularly the colour palette) of Warren Beatty’s Dick Tracy film, although there were other aspects of it I didn’t care for quite as much. Arts Illustrated magazine has an article this month: “A Colourful Tale: The Costume Canvas of Dick Tracy.”
There is a preview of the article here: http://clothesonfilm.com/a-colourful-tale-the-costume-canvas-of-dick-tracy/35587/ and you can buy the entire issue here: http://www.magzter.com/IN/LA_5_Global_Publications/Arts_Illustrated/Art/ (if I wasn’t so broke, the prices are cheap).

It’s possible that Silver will come out of the back room to find Sprocket and Stiletta gone.
Sprocket might go along with the plan intending to throw a monkey wrench into the works at some point.
She certainly seems legitimately disturbed by Stiletta’s intent.
After all, there’s a big difference between being a scam artist and a Tracy-Napper.
