I thought the Moon Governor was in the Antarctic, rather than the Arctic. Maybe he moved.

Also,  I think SSE should be written “south-southeast” rather than “south, south-east.”

The last time we saw the moon people they are living in Antarctica. How come they are now coming from the Arctic? A polar shift probably happened while we were sleeping. :)

Actually, the scammer scammed, the Nitrates safely tucked away… this may BE the end of the story….and if it is, I kinda like it!

Maybe it’s just me, but something about the layouts/staging/storytelling throughout this most recent arc has felt delightfully “Gouldian.”

It’s not the Moon Governor, because the Moon Governor doesn’t smoke cigars. Maybe it’s Diet Smith, testing out a new space coupe.

Another crossover maybe… Flash Gordon or Buck Rodgers???

I’d rather be entertained by the Nitrates and the message they are sending that it is ok to swindle $250,000 from the innocent. In this case, “Crime Does Pay”, and that’s not right.

I’m glad they’re bringing back the moon element in this strip. It was one of my favorite Gould themes and it was disappointing to see the other Tracy cartoonists try to kill it off.

I wondered when they were going to come back to this storyline.

Complaints about “south south-east” – this may well be the result of having to break “southeast” at the edge of the speech bubble…

And maybe Moon Governor IS in Antarctica – coming from the Arctic is DS!

I was a child in the sixties, so in essence I grew up with the Moon Era stories. Moon Maid always held a special place in my childhood memories. Never thought I would see this day, I hope it is Moon Maid’s Father. I would LOVE to see Honeymoon reunited with her birth Grandparents from Moon Valley.

That’s the moon governor alright (or could it be one of the Munro brothers survived and is returning).

It’s gotta be the Governor, and I’ll be thrilled if it is. I’m so glad they’re finally getting back to this story! Introducing it was what brought me back to Dick Tracy.

As Jimmy Durante said : “Everybody has to get into da act”…

I’d like to see a story arc completed before the next one starts…

Staton’s work just pops — three great panels

Don’t see any antennae (or bolts nearby), so I’ll just wait to see who it is. (BTW, love the shading in Panel 2.)

I guess they had to fly off before the Arctic Circle completely melted away.

The pilot’s words in panel 3 seem to me to prove it is in fact the moon Governor and not one of the long-lost crew in Diet Smith’s abducted space coupe returning to Earth. They also suggest strongly that he hasn’t been spending much time around Earth recently, else he would not be surprised at improved surveillance techniques there.

But in the interest of accuracy, I must note that the defensive radar (etc.) guys are (that is, should be) with NORAD, the North American Aerospace [formerly Air] Defense Command, a joint USA-Canadian operation….
