This seems to be strip one of an extended tribute. We are getting more than I even hoped for. I thought it might end up being one frame, so I am pleasantly surprised that he is already featured in today’s entire strip. It’s also nice to see “young Joseph” getting more speaking opportunities.

When my kids were in Junior High/High School, only one son enjoyed my interest in Buster Keaton films or the Powell-Loy “Thin Man” movies. On the other hand, it was my daughter who watched samurai movies with me.

I took it that way … on the face of it but had to point out how the word “contained” in these situations sounds like it is meant to convey a warm and fuzzy feeling that our crime is so low as to be virtually non existent. We still have muggings and robberies so keep your doors secure and keep to lighted areas at night. Oh, what the heck a few !!!!!!!! for Vista Bill &Comet! !!!

Great way to remember Vista Bill. I wonder if Vitamin will have a cameo in the upcoming Godzilla vs. King Kong remake.

Neat construction in panel 1: Tracy directs verbally to Vitamin; Vitamin looks out to us beyond the Fourth Wall and forwards Tracy’s message. And then in panel 2, it’s the Old Thespian and rarely-seen young Joseph Tracy, and the introduction of the Vista Bill Films! And Tracy caps it off in Panel 3 with one of his occasional moments of humor, with Vitamin offering an appropriate reply.

Hi, Yo, Vista Bill! I hear the hoofbeats of the great-hearted steed, Comet, thundering above us!
