Edison looks like she is disappointed with this ‘failed mission’ while shaky is ever the ingrate. So, does this mean Shaky will get away today to come back another day, in a predictable revenge driven plot ?
A shaking guy dressed in a 30s tuxedo without a hardhat on a construction site…yeah, nobody will notice someone like that. He’ll get lost in the crowd real easily.
Crystal saw Edison with Shaky and can give a description, but Edison might be able to get away. Shaky might be able to get a bit lost in the crowd lost while Quiver distracts the police, but as Ray says, he’s not exactly going to blend in.
Good morning™ fellow shut-ins! Thankful I am for this outlet of banter with my anonymous friends, seeing that all three of my regular weekly gatherings are currently suspended!
Is Quiver giving Edison a break, or being self-serving? Police arrive, “He forced me to help him!” Quiver exclaims. It isn’t clear in the strip how willingly she helped. She did begin by telling him to get out. On the other hand, she let him badly horn into her fake charity racket. Edison might have been a witness to finger Quiver for actively cooperating with Shaky.
bow tie, suite, no hard hat, oh yeah he’s going to blend right in. seriously who did someone this stupid not just accidental hang himself tying his shoe laces or open a vein with a spoon having soup.
Considering how stupid he is, Shaky’s probably mistaken a demolition company for a construction crew. Maybe Sunday will have Tracy and Shaky inside, fighting before the big ka-boom.
Rest of the construction-site crowd looks like generic comic backgrounders except for Hard Hat Lady. Drawing style slightly different, as though she is Somebody IRL.
It seems half the commentators think the dialogue in the last panel is Shaky’s, the other half think it’s Edison’s. It is confusing, This is just clumsy comic strip writing.
1-CUZ: You’re voted out of the Shaky gang because, well, you don’t shake. WHATSRNAME: But I didn’t get to say my best line: I like the way yo milk shake, gurl.
CUZ: Ok. You can stay in the play.
2-AT THE HASTILY ERECTED BUILDING ON THE SET:Footlight instructions whispered by the hard-of-hearing Sugar Daddy: STOP STANDING AROUND AND LOOK BUSY! YOU LOOK LIKE A ROAD CONSTRUCTION CREW ON I-75 THROUGH ATLANTA. AND WHAT’S WITH THE NICE SUIT BLONDIE? YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE A LABORER! THAT’S GOOD POINTING NUMBER 4…
Hold it a minute, yesterday Quiver talked about giving up. Now somehow she was able to shake the pursuit of police cars and get to this construction site. Ooh wee this story line is a big stretch even for me.
And just like that, the comely and delectable Edison Lighthouse ditches her felonious squeeze du jour to save her own charming hide. Will we ever see her again in DT?
And Shaky himself proposes to bail and “lose himself” in what he sees as a construction site crowd. What if, as some have already mused, it’s actually a demolition site? Most of the people in that crowd are wearing hardhats, though not necessarily members of the work crew. It does give one pause (though at the last groundbreaking ceremony I attended, all the principals in the photo op for the press were issued hardhats). But, go ahead, Shaky. Maybe in your tux you will be thought to be one of the officials presiding at whatever is about to go down (or blow up). The cops, I think, will spot you easily if they surveil the crowd….
That leaves Quiver on her own—a good bet to get away!

I wonder if Quiver will rat out Shaky and tell the cops where he went? It may make things go easier on her?

Good morning, COVID free folks.
What if Shaky goes into the building to hide and the building is up for demolition

So Shaky II is going to hide in a narrow space on the construction site and get sealed in until he dies? History repeats itself . . . .

If it is a demolition site, would that make it shake, rattle and roll?
