Guy Wyre is now Chekhov’s gun in this story. He is going to be important to the plot somehow.

Bethany’s supposed to be bald? I don’t follow her strip.

Good morning™, big day announcers !

Her guest status insures she will be alive. But, what about Guy ?  Will he become collateral damage in his own strip ?

Getting married on Halloween? She has a black wedding dress, Goth all the way!

I don’t think Guy is going to play a part at all in this story; I think this is a way to help buld Fast Track’sreadership. This is a throwaway page, one that doesn’t advance the plot at all.

I do not think that Guy is black because on the B/W version, there is NO shade used.

DETH WARMEDOVER: Huh? Did I tell you I’m getting married? DT: Who’s the, I guess I gotta say, “lucky” fella?

2-DETH: This guy. He came with the picture frame. I’d like to hire your services to find him so I can tell him the good news.

DT: You can’t hire me! I work for the city.

DETH: Then you should stop referring to yourself as a “Private Dick”.

DT: I only said that to try to discourage your amorous intentions.

DETH: HOW DARE YOU! Don’t listen to him, ummm, Guy? I’ve been nothing but faithful since I bought you at WalMart.

so Mr. Tracy and crew will be at the wedding? that would be cool

Oh yes. Let’s get politically/ culturally/socially correct here. Even in DICK TRACY!

SQUAREJAW MCGEE: Hey Corpsina, I hear there’s another angle we can drag out before we actually get this story moving? Wanna share it with the readers who, if they cared, would be reading your own strip instead of you infringing on mine?

CORPSINA: Sure Squarejaw, there’s this guy see, he works for the same company i do, we’re getting married on Halloween. This is is picture.

SQUAREJAW MCGEE: Halloween you say? I steer clear of that holiday, bad memories with some half dead zombie guy always trying to kill me. But hey, good luck to you both.

CORPSINA: You wouldnt, by chance, be talking about Abner Kadaver would you?

SQUAREJAW MCGEE: (audible gasp) You…. you KNOW him?!?!

CORPSINA: Know him?!? We were the King and Queen of the prom back in the day… he’s gonna be Best Man…eeerrrr Best Corpse at my wedding

On the Fastrack – things are really starting to fall into place!

Todays strip slammed the brakes on a plot that was already in park. Can we just get back to the Saga of Stooge’s Secret Stash?

Halloween? So that explains her ghoulish appearance.

Bethany and Guy… A Chocolate and very, very, Vanilla twin scoop ice cream cone… ;-D

Given the prominent part that ice cream is playing in the story… I couldn’t resist ! ;-D

I rather like Joe’s rendering of Dethany; she looks very sweet here, especially in panel 2, with her picture of her boyfriend and fiance, Guy Wyre. Anyway, in On the Fastrack the Halloween wedding has been a recurrent theme for some time now as the couple make their plans (BTW, I follow On the Fastrack over at Comics Kingdom, which has a nice large format in contrast to some other comics sites)….
