My son doesn’t even have one!

And when they visit, and we are watching, my DIL whisks the kids upstairs.

Thank goodness my daughter likes most of the same shows we do! So I raised one of them right. LOL

Wow, where to begin. You can bet your sweet bippy they didn’t raise Patty that way. The TV is the single biggest electricity user in their household—it’s on all the time. And as to being bored easily, well, there’s yesterday and WFG and Burl’s inability to concentrate on anything for more than a few seconds without either falling asleep or getting hungry. Hs ideal toy; a chocolate covered feather on a string.Just had a really vile thought. Burl is likely an extreme “preemie” but neither he nor Joy ever noticed because they never do anything for more than a few seconds, as above.

Mikie, there are things about Burl and Joy I don’t want to hear or think about, or even imagine.

You’ve just sent me home for a Marg and Susan’s Super Strength Ultra Brain Bleach™ and brandy…I think I’ll need a double…and I only just got here!

They don’t think she eats enough sugar either. She isn’t fat like they are. Do they think they failed in raising her?At least she has a good chance of getting the right man and will be able to leave Crustwood , why she hasn’t is beyond me. Unless she is waiting for Timmy so she can legally take him with her…

I’m curious about today’s Do-List. Who on MTV are they going to complain about? And does refinishing the TV trays mean just attaching some more adhesive vinyl shelf paper? (Because anything else seems like too much work for this crew.)

Eldest daughter’s MIL actually disapproved of reading. Fussed with her all the time about “teaching those kids bad habits. They’ll ruin their eyes.” They would have rather gone to the library than a candy store.

Patty reads the comics rather than being one.

Mom had a library down in the basement, was back when……..the inside cover of EVERY book had a sticker on it with a beautiful sailing ship cast before majestic cumulus clouds. And it said: “There is no frigate like a book, to take us lands away”. Thanks Mom.

TV is an addiction, just like alcohol and cigarettes.
