    Again, Burl has a point, inchoate as he is. He ought to get a price reduction for the pickle.

    I wonder if restaurants would go for “No pickle, extra tomato, same price”? If they don’t take money off for the pickle, they shouldn’t add extra for the tomato. Condiments free of charge, or (a new word) Condimentary, if you will.

    He does, however, complain when he “super-sizes” it, and the pickle is no larger than usual. He has not been fond of pickles since he learned it was a vegetable and not frequently breaded and deep fried, so he can soak it in catsup. It’s distressing, since it is 3:00 p.m., and time for afternoon snackies, and he knows it’s the most important meal of the day between lunch and supper.
