Okay. What’s with the “Dogs of C Kennel” strip?

Oh, trick or treat, right?

Weird. Its 5 days too early for a trick or treat. Someone at GoComics bored or something?

What’s really weird is that Dog eat Doug and C-Kennel are right next to each other in my GoComics lineup.

Just checked C-Kennel. Minor go-comics goof. But I am unable to function as my comic-reading routine has been disrupted. Thanks, go-comics, for exposing my mental health issues!

It’s not just GoComics. Search engine brought up Denver Post for tomorrow and it’s the same, with a ©2009 under the C-Kennel part… go figure.

It’s not GoComics’ fault. Every site that carries Dog Eat Doug has the same strip. We’ve got to put the “blame” firmly where it belongs. You people have no sense of humor. Deal with it.

Trick or treat

Still, the comic premise is a sweet one.

This is okay, as a cartoon, but it’s not “DED” material.

Strange. “For Better or For Worse” also has a scary lightning theme today.

Still, it’s a nice warm hearted tribute to Pit Bulls. One of the best kid loving dogs I’ve shared a sleeping bag with was Kid Sister’s Pit. Linda was a great dog and it was cold that night.:-)

I don’t know where DED – but today’s strip is still cute.

The cartoonists don’t submit their own strips every day to places like Arcamax. They send them to their editors atUniversal uclick …which owns the syndication rights.

Uckick displays the Universal “stable” of cartoons here on Gocomics AND syndicates the strips to newspapers and to those other sites.The websites are all making the same mistake because uclick sent everybody the same thing … but newspaper strips were sent out weeks ago, so they probably got the right ones.

Same gaffe at Arcamax. Weird.

I only said they _probably_got the right ones.

But maybe Uclick made the mistake weeks ago, when they sent the strips out for publication, and still hadn’t caught it yesterday.

What are the odds that a cartoonist has the desire or the legal permission to post another artist’s strip instead of his own?Could happen; just doesn’t seem likely.If he had nothing ready, he’d probably post a re-run of an older Sunday.But obviously, I don’t know… just guessing, like everybody else. :)

It’s not just GoComics. ArcaMax has the same thing. So do the printed comics in the Sunday paper.

Thanks so much, PixieDreams! I knew it couldn’t be intentional, because if they were doing some planned switch-around, then C-Kennel would’ve shown something else, not just a duplicate.
