As I think of local weather. When it rains… most people would bring out an umbrella. But local winds would rip it up like tissue paper. So… for us the idea is… Someone who is new to the area vs. Us who know better! BTW – it is a major factor why I have so many hats! :)

Folks where I live rarely use umbrellas for the same reason. I own two but usually I use a raincoat with a hood. Both my umbrellas have had at least part of their spokes pulled inside out. Kenny would love it here. But I kinda like Will.

I’ll take the dogs that always pee outside. I’ve walked my dog in a hurricane (Category 2). It is not all that bad on the lea side of a building.

We had a “Chessy” that insisted the car window be down while riding in the rain. She did the same for snow

One year, after a long muddy spring thaw, I decided the cat should get outside for awhile. I put him out the front door and only had to wait a few seconds before he got around to the back of the house and came in the cat door. He came through the house and out to the living room where I was sitting. When he got within sight, he gave me a really dirty look and then picked up each paw and shook it before putting it back down. He had already cleaned them, but was telling me he did not like having muddy paws.

I’m fostering a dog right now, in addition to the two furry family members. It’s a Catahoula Leopard Dog. Very energetic, and quite handsome. I’m not 100% sure it’s house broken yet, but no accidents for the last 3 days, so – knock on wood. The rescue organization I’m doing this for is based in Canada, which will probably be where he ends up, after being transported from South Texas.

I have a long haired shepherd who enjoys a good mud puddle. And a good hosing down afterwards.

I have a devoted beagle. if I will take her outside, she will go with me. I have no fence and you just don’t let a hunting dog have their nose at will when you don’t live in the country.

I’ve never seen a dog that didn’t like a good roll in mud.
