Die Hard. Yes, it’s a Christmas movie. There’s a tree and everything!

Earlier generations love “It’s a Wonderful Life”, “Christmas in Connecticut”, etc. I’m into “A Christmas Story” – watch it every year and got my husband a tie with a blinking leg lamp to wear on Christmas Eve. Jean Shepherd’s story with Darren McGavin as the father is the sweetest and funniest story. (Jean S. does the narration of Ralphie). Believe this is the only movie where McGavin plays a comedic role. Correct me if I’m wrong.

June is right for once. Miracle on 34th street I can (and do) watch every year, the other two not so much.

Obviously a very subjective discussion topic. For me, if a gun is ever held to my head with a demand that I name my favorite Christmas movie, I’m a dead man. This is because I don’t play favorites. “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Miracle on 34th Street” (the original, of course) are both great movies and would go on my “Great” list. And if I have to rank them within that list it would be alphabetically.

Technically not a movie but another nominee is the classic Twilight Zone episode “Night of the Meek”.
