When I was a kid, I’d get so excited to go to the store and look at all the Halloween costumes. But things changed as I got older. Now I realize that with three kids, at $25 a pop, that’s $75 for something they’ll only wear once. And there’s $60 in candy to give to my neighbour’s bra—, kids. And that means that Thanksgiving is in three weeks…, oh my god Christmas is in a little over two months…, I’ve got to get the gutters cleaned (maybe, actually do it this year), rake the leaves up, get the Christmas decorations up (who am I kidding, they’re still up from 2002)… Yea, Halloween!
I dread this time of year. Until after Easter it’s special candy & treats that are hard to resist. At least it’s better than when I was a cashier at a chain drug store & had to keep checking out the stuff. Now I try to avoid the holiday aisle & close my eyes when I pass the half or more off after the holiday!

If I was going to dress up, I think that I would want to be Percy Jackson.

Ralph, you got to go easy on those sugary little “bullets” – Type II DM is NOT a fun thing to endure…

Went to Grocery Outlet yesterday and the place was loaded with candy. Prices weren’t any better than Winco, though.

This is one of the times of the year that I kind of sorry I gave up all sugar. Sigh.
