(Grumbles at her iPad). This is a variation of ‘leading from behind’. Still, I admire Wally’s patience with his beloved Holly.

She’s so cute……

Its a practical arrangement for both of them. Holly can pretend to lead from the backpack and save face and Wally can take them where they need to go and NOT have to worry about Holly running off.

OK… This is starting to sound terribly familiar. When did they get married?!

Now that we know what Wally and Holly are up to I’m wondering about Linda……

“I’m in charge! I’ll lead us!” Isn’t that what Flask said?

I noticed Wally’s eyes changing in each panel. The first seemed to be bewilderment, the second seemed to be realization and the third seems to be irritation.

Like the song goes… “I’m at your service, Madam”.…Wally knows better than to get into a fight with Holly. Remember how she dealt with Flask? Ouch!!!

Holly is injured, in shock and disoriented. For someone in that condition, attempting to “take charge” is not too surprising. Her immediate environment is out of her control … she needs to take charge to empower herself; even if her choices are wrong.

Unfortunately, it can be a REALLY bad idea to allow someone in that situation to lead.

Holly seems to have changed in her absence. And not for the better.
