Awww, poor misunderstood Marx, my heart bleeds for you! — NOT!

But we already knew this was true, because Marx couldn’t prevent Flask from taking over his ship.

He’s the one who cultivated the “god” likeness given his sit down with Mallard, the bit with Linda, his post mortem with Flask and his actions in support of Jacob. Is it any wonder people would come away with that impression?

Is that Marx’s version of “Don’t ask questions that you don’t want to know the answers to” ?

I still say Marx is a Time Lord.

Well, Doc is a doctor. That’s pretty close to playing god.

This is interesting. I have never seen Aaron Marx acting so defensively. The closest I’ve seen was in the end of his interview with Dr. Mallard when the duck asked him if he knew what had happened to Flask. He just said bye, but you could tell he felt bad about what happened.

“Ray, if someone asks if you’re a God, you say YES!”

No point in having the Green Lantern ring if your not going to use it….

Rereading the “When Wally Met Holly” sequence, I came across the April 27, 2011 comic where Doc says, “.. But he’s not a friend of yours ..” The emphasis didn’t really mean much at the time, but with the revelation of her relationships, it means a lot more now. We now see what the intended meaning is.

If Marx is a god, then he’s more Jesus than Jehovah. He’s doing godlike things because he has to for the greater good, not because he wants to. He’ll probably do what Doc asks anyway, even if it’s not his idea of greater good, because Doc has free will and the will to get Holly back. He will get Holly back or kill himself or others trying. Not overriding someone’s free will is the greater good, whatever the consequences, so Marx may help Doc instead of making things worse by refusing.

I think Marx knows well enough that it would destroy Holly to bring her out of her dream world.

I want to find out more about Doc. Why was the fox who looks like Marx meeting them? How did he know he was a doctor? How could the rat lieutenant know his name already? Was Holly even supposed to be along for this ride? The milk trial was started by Linda whom Marx had brought to Endtown and the trial was orchestrated by Marx. Can’t wait to see where this is going.

Just a random thought… but didn’t the ships computer that trapped Wally and the other say the Captain came through from an alternate universe but never mutated? What if Aaron Marx was that Captain, and got a new ship because he crashed the last one? Might explain a few things.

Now we try to backpedal marx as a bad character.

Holly will NOT appreciate being brought back.

Wise up, Doc. Inter reality parlor tricks are an entirely different matter from dragging Holly back against her will. You’re being selfish, you want Holly back, no matter how much she hated her life in Endtown, don’t you.

Humph. Teflon Marx has defied being reasonable or emotionally-tied to anyone, from his point of introduction on the OQ. Then Marx connects with Flask, manipulates reality to alter her timeline…then saves Holly-Wally-Linda…then manipulates the candidacy of Jack Rabbit…; with each intervention the Neatherworld citizens, both inside the strip and outside, start looking expectantly to Marx to intervene again. Comparisons between Marx’s position, and the position of a personal God are many (clearly showing my bias), so Doc’s sharp demands on Marx reflect dialogue I would like to have with God at moment’s of great need: “you clearly have the power and compassion, now dooooo something.” And God might answer that he did. Merry Christmas.

I can’t say I predicted Marx’s reaction, but it hardly surprises me at all. What we’re forgetting is that Marx ISN’T alone in the the dimensional arena, and this isn’t the first reality to be in this slump. What neither the Doc, nor anyone else understands is ruling intervention NEVER goes well.

Marx knows this, and he’s clearly been down that shit-hole before. He wants to save Endtown, but has already had to make some risky moves to do it. And THIS is the price of that, one he simply won’t pay, nore in truth should.

Oh, so you’ll help ol’ rabbit face take power in endtown. But get Holly to say goodbye to Doc? Nah, too much.

C’mon Marx, get your priorities straight!
