Either Mavis is playing real cool, for she’s the last one to have seen Cooper alive & may have had something to do with his murder, or she’s genuinely surprised at what has transpired over the past few days.
Mavis just made a connection that Jacob was behind this execution. A wrong assumption. But now it is obvious Velda is setting up Jacob. Her superiors have decided to……Kill the Rabbit!
So Velda put together the facts…someone was leaking false reports to Foxworthy about Endtown’s food stores and Foxworthy was following instructions in only releasing little bits of this misinformation instead of blowing the story wide open. She traced the source to Cooper and then to Mavis. Just when Foxworthy was about to lose his patience and blow the story wide open, he gets called to meet Cooper, only to find him freshly dead. And just as he walked into that trap and got arrested, someone put a pig’s head in his fridge to frame him thoroughly. Jacob tries to take control of the situation by taking Foxworthy up to his office, but Freeman asserts his power and publicly executes Foxworthy, leading the public to believe that the lone pig-killer has been dealt with.So is Velda moving farther up the chain to root up the source of the plot to take down Jacob? And how does it tie into whomever is actually responsible for calling pigs around the city and pushing them into committing suicide (and providing the drugs that they’ve been using to commit suicide)? And who’s been eating the pigs? Earlier they mentioned tooth marks from at least four mutant species on the bones that were found.
I think that Velda has put Mavis together with Cooper, and the pig killings. Cooper with the killings because of the sausages he was found with. And Velda saw Cooper visit Mavis. But I think she’s also fishing for more information. Velda sees Cooper as being sacrificed by the cannibal group…since he “drew the short straw”, he was the member sacrificed. But I think Velda is fishing. I don’t think she’s part of it—but mostly because I read surprise on her face (those facial expressions by Aaron N. such detail…) when she saw Cooper’s picture in the paper. But who knows? I do know that I want to see how this pans out.

Yeah. How would she know? Unless she was there.

Careful, Velda… If you look real close in Mavis’ eyes, you can almost see the target being drawn on your back.

I was always asking myself why that Cooper guy was so fat. And when he could remove his head, Is that fishy head of his still doing something?
But then who is serious there, who is in to the eyebrows and who is afraid to be the next who knows too much?

So where did Velma get the wine? Does Endtown have a wine cellar?

Ah, c’mon Velda. Give Mavis a break. Don’t you just melt when you look into those big, brown puppy dog eyes?

I think I’m missing something.
But I do agree that Cooper did have an unforgettable face.

Looks like Velda is setting Mavis up for a little blackmail. And that can be a very dangerous move.

I actually think Mavis is in more danger than Velda. Velda does not seem to be the careless type. This feels very calculated to me.

If I’m reading her expression right I’m predicting that SHE killed Cooper and his final expression still haunts her.

OK ladies here is an off topic question about the women about Endtown, how do the ladies with fur manage lipstick?
