I increased the backlight on my tablet and it looks like an artificial eye. There are lines above and below the eye like it is mounted to a panel. Of course I’m probably wrong.
I LOVE having everything explained now—I was mostly right about the barrier between realities breaking down and mixing people with cartoons—and I’m happy about finally having an explanation for the “there’s no mutagenic virus” bombshell from September 2016…
But I’m sensing that we’re near the end. Not just the end of this story arc, which began in October 2018, but the end of Endtown. I hope I’m wrong, because this is my favorite comic strip.
I tried to change the brightness, to see if there is any “extra” spicy detail in the darkness.. Not really.. oh well, but at least the eye is more clearly visible being in room.
Here is the image, if anyone is interested. https://ibb.co/ZWkRP5R
Okay, so it is now clear that the Marx rescuing Kirby and Chic are not this Marx. Also revealed is that there are numerous Marx’s of shape, sex, and size.
The darkness of today’s panel suggests that this might be taking place on the boardwalk of the Toothbrush Triangle.
Interesting how, no matter how much Neathery reveals, we still feel like we know absolutely nothing!
Again, I miss Doctor Topsider. This explains nothing. At least when Mr. Floating Eye showed up last time, it was interesting and we got more plot explanation.
So the Eye is Marx from a Reality where he went insane and our Marx is from a sane Reality and is fighting to not become insane and merge with his counterpart. In fact, he may be seeking to restore sanity to Eye.
Does anyone have any idea why this comic, which I have followed for years, never show up for me unless I look under “show all, updated anytime” even if I check on the day it updated?

I wonder if ‘it’ is frozen or if we are about to see some kind of a exchange here.

So, was this Ravencroft’s room?
And what is causing the white spot on Marx’s back?
Not to mention the mote in god’s eye…

You could put an Eye out with that.

That looks like the manifestation of god from Wally’s dream – right before it tried to eat Amesworth.
