I remember my company having classes and doing all sorts of things to show they valued their employees. Then they got rid of anyone who had been there over twenty years and were over fifty-five. Including me.
To make it worse, the workers are doing the physical effort, so thereby losing weight while the managers are sitting at their desks all day, so gaining weight.

Hmmm… so for an employee to be more valuable to the company, he/she needs to pack on the pounds. Hopefully they don’t work for a slaughterhouse.

My company came in with a buy-out package (choose it or lose it) for all over 50. I chose it and have been pretty happy ever since …
