Everyone UNDER the bed.

Poor Elly, getting crushed like that.

This is the 2nd FBOFW cartoon in a row that emitted a laugh from me.

Soon after my marriage breakup, (wife traded me in for a toyboy) I woke up one morning to find the two dogs had jumped onto the bed during the night. One was fast asleep on one side of me and the other dog ditto on the other side. I was trapped until one of them moved.

Farley just doesn’t like things that go bump into the night!

Dogs are a comfort – but enough is enough!

Uh oh… Time to get up and check it out, Elly. You’re the adult here.@ dsom8 – Why did you tell me to “lighten up” yesterday? I said nothing that was judgmental or offensive, so I don’t understand why you singled me out. We don’t put up with mean comments around here (well, for the most part :-)) and I try not to get involved in arguments, so leave me alone. And if you were trying to be funny, try again because that was very trite.

Dogs are a great comfort until they start hogging the bed and shedding all over it. :-)

Our first sheepdog, Beowulf, was very protective of my wife. Once she was sitting on the couch beside her uncle. Uncle playfully punched her a bit too hard on the arm, and when wife reacted with an “Ouch!” Uncle suddenly had a face full of teeth-bared snarling sheepdog. Another time, she nearly had talked her way out of a speeding ticket until the cop reached into the car for her driver’s license and Beowulf made sure he knew that was not a good thing to do. Luckily, the cop didn’t shoot the dog, but wife got the ticket she’s almost avoided.

If you’ve ever seen two cats fighting, you can’t blame a dog for staying clear.

Smokey usually sleeps at the foot of the bed…but if I’m not up and ready for work when HE thinks I should be…he walks to the front of the bed and starts meowing in my face…he’s the “alarm cat”..

AHAHAHAHA!! FARLY WAS SCARE “THUND!!” THAT FUNNY DOG HUG ELLY .!! (GIGGLE!!) OMG…

On an entirely different note . . .

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

I’m usually firmly trapped between a 17-pound cat on one side and our 9-pound chihuahua on the other. Poor babies, Momma needs to turn over once in a while and they get disturbed! I’m glad our pup isn’t a big lug like Farley! Princess (the chihuahua) is afraid of NOTHING and will bark only when there’s something that is out of the “normal” — whatever “normal” is around here!

Brave dog? I do not have Farly, I have Cheech, a 7lb, long haired Chihuahua. He has the feeling that he is a Rottweiler…as long as your back is turned, then he wishes he was a Rotty! Good heel biter, even a better barker. Cheech and Meha Chula (my other Chihuahua-12lb short hair) are not allowed into the bedroom, and are kennelled at night, the two cats, on the other hand, are persistant bed hogs. And if I move, the younger one (with claws) will let her displeasure known, through bedspread, blanket and sheet, with claws and possibly teeth. It must be love (on my part) or that cat would be lunch. Mine! (Cat is quite tasty, ate it when I was in Vietnam. Would not eat one now as I have had too many really fine cats. Even this kitten has great qualities. The best is that she takes nothing off either of the dogs.)

We’ve got 3 small terriers (20# ea) that sleep with us and our king size bed isn’t big enough.

lol Doc! Cats rule! You know that.

Farley is putting Elly under a lot of pressure.
