I don’t think John looks like an idiot, and I don’t think he’s acting like a dopey kid. This is part of being a parent – playing with your kids. And if an adult doesn’t have a bit of kid in them, then they have lost a bit of their best nature. Yes, he does still have to be an adult, but zipping down the road in one of those things is an entirely appropriate – and fun – thing to do. So lighten up, folks and let the man play with the kids, like he’s supposed to. That is, of course, if he can get out of it.
you HAVE to grow older but you NEVER have to grow up. I used to play with my kids, lots of Barbie play and lots of Star Wars play, and now I still play Barbie with my grand daughter. The part of an adult that is still a kid is the best part.
I’ve worked in a number of different hobby shops over the years. I remember one shop that had a plaque on the wall that read, “the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys”. Oh so true. I pity the men who do genuinely “grow up”.

Not the way to relive your childhood, John. Say, why don’t you get into miniature trains or something? ;-)

definitely written before the days of helmets and pads! I miss those days, but appreciate the reasons behind them!

Maybe John should have built a bigger one for himself while he was at it so that he and Michael could both share in this enjoyment together! ;-)

I hope one of those kids have a cell phone to call 911 as this is not going to end well at all.
