Here we are witnessing the beginning of his writing career. He was quite journalistically eloquent for his age – and creative. Porkdom?? Who’d think up that word? I’d enjoy reading his letters.

Wilbur lost to Uncle (much to Wilbur’s family’s dismay), but did win a special award for just being Zuckermann’s famous pig due to the signs in spider webs.

“She died soon afterwards. Now we’re gonna be having her for dinner. Hoo boy am I glad you sent me here. Thanks.”

“Oinkle Sam”? I thought these people were Canadian. What about Johnny Can-oink (Canuck)?

I think we missed a few good visual jokes here. Mudonna with a cone bra. Hulk Hoggin with blonde hair and spandex. Smell Gibson dressed like Mad Max. Marloin Brando’ dressed like he was in the movie Wild One. “Boarus Karloff” dressed like Frankenstein’s monster.

They could also have Moinkel Porkerson.

And at ten end of this contest, there was a buffet, and everyone pigged out.

Don’t fall down in the pen or she’ll eat you too.

Lynn’s Comments:

It was really fun coming up with the different names for these pigs.

And here I thought it was goats that would eat anything they could get in their mouths.

I could never understand these farm people who raise hogs and cattle as “pets”, then have no qualms about slaughtering them for food. I just could NEVER kill a pet no matter what species.

Well, it’s a good pig story, even though there isn’t a spider in sight.

Uncle says I can take her home when I leave as a pet!

Reminds me of the movie “Spiderman: into the Spiderverse” with all the differen Spidermen. One of the characters was named Spider-Ham, and was a cartoon pig.
