So true. We were excited to watch Romancing The Stone with our kids but had totally forgotten how much swearing (among other things) was in it. Had to turn it off and wait a few years before they (we) were ready.

They can’t be that old. Swearing didn’t happen in movies until the 1960s. Until Howard Hughes successfully fought the very existence of the Hayes Office, the Federal Government censored films routinely. Yes, THAT Howard Hughes.

Christmas Vacation falls into that category. Be sure to watch the TV edited version

Even though parents shield their kids from this stuff, you should get a load of what they hear from their peers….OY VEY‼️☺️

How old of a movie? One pretty much has to go back to the 40’s or 50’s if ‘blue’ language is a concern.

“You’ve Got Mail”. Has one word I think was ONLY put in to raise the rating from a “G”. It is incredibly jarring how out of place it is.

If they hear an ‘F- bomb’, just tell them it’s the Japanese word Fook. It stands for pretty pink unicorns.

Yup, happened to me with my son. Back to the future. Let him know we’ll finish later, about two years later…
