The fastest I ever got my little Gremlin to go, was 90. Did unofficial drag racing on long straight stretch of road (2 lane divided highway) between my college traffic light and a traffic light near home. It was a stick shift and I was really good at getting off fast at the start. (Area was rural at the time and I only did it late at night)
Oh my dad had station wagons for years for his job and we loved them, got to side in the back with the seat down and our feet dangled out. However on the L.I.E. (Long Island Expressway) that thing moved…..yeah yeah a girl that loved powerful cars and still does….

Look on the bright side, Andy… if he got home in three minutes, you know he didn’t get a ticket.

My parents’ 1970 Chrysler wagon still had headroom at 117. Allegedly. So I’m told.

Surprised no speeding ticket. Time to turn over the keys, driving suspended.
