Ah, one of my all time favorites!

We make 2 pots of coffee a day

My wife drinks about a half a pot, I drink the rest

I know how he feels!

I am so glad I don’t need caffeine to wake up. Or for anything else, for that matter. I don’t like coffee. But I very much enjoy espresso which I like to drink in the afternoon together with some small sweet specialty, such as cantuccini / biscotti.

I used to drink 12 cups of coffee a day. My doctor swore it was bad for my heart. He could find nothing wrong, but gave me a second opinion: it was unlikely that I would ever get a urinary infection. He had the same opinion about people who drink a lot of beer.

Without any conscious effort I cut down to 2 cups a day, but now that I work from home, that’s escalated to 3 cups a day.

He should use the straw holder in the pot.

If I woke up to find that both my eyes had been replaced by a single asterisk, I’d be too busy calling 911 to mess around with a coffee pot!

This is my wife to me lately…

Even I’m not that uncouthed.

That’s like my younger sister. She says how many pots of coffee she’s had instead of cups.

That’s actually the distribution of coffee in my house (but I never drink out of the pot). I brew a pot in the morning, and my wife typically drinks one cup. The rest goes into the fridge so I can have my thermos of ice cold black coffee the next day.
