My very first date at age 8 was to a DQ with a girl from just down the street. We went halves on a chocolate shake with 2 straws… she looked me sweetly in the eyes, then chortled and PINCHED MY PAPER STRAW, even slurping loudly as she finished it. It was only .35 cents total, but I really did NOT get my 17-1/2 cents worth!
