I was reading a book on the bus one day while everyone around me was scrolling on phones and tablets. Suddenly a young woman said, “Oh my gawd that’s a book”. Even the driver laughed. I’m just glad they didn’t throw me off. It is kind of funny how many people ask me what I’m reading when on the bus or at the coffee shop, but you never hear the same question when people are on their devices. In case anyone’s interested, the book that day was Michael Crichton’s Pirate Latitudes. Sure beats what’s on the tube.

The older I get, the more often my chosen TV channel is Music Choice.

All, generally yes the TV selections suck.

But, I learned just last month the Roku channel has 24 hour streaming of Top Gear. Almost always a guaranteed good episode…..except for any of the trash after Clarkson, Hammond, and May left. Those can burn in the garbage heap.

TV is no longer a " vast wasteland" it has become a “vast sewer.”
