I’ve always wondered why there isn’t a different schedule for schools…maybe because there isn’t enough teachers, but wouldn’t it be interesting to have 1st shift and 2nd shift schools? Just like there are for jobs. I got real used to working 2nd shift…getting up at noon, going to work by 2 and working til 10…Some people are just wired like that.
My daughter would argue against the “6 hours of sleep” thing. She even argued – respectfully and with compelling evidence – against her doctor about it.

Good. At the very least, Parents should make sure students are properly rested, properly fed and properly clothed for school.

If you can’t get by on six hours of sleep in your teens, when can you?

Falling asleep in class is better than falling asleep at the wheel

If she’s so sleepy now to have her eyes look like that, she would have no problem falling asleep at 9.

At least she doesn’t bark like a dog in class like Darlene from Roseanne did.

I only once knew someone who fell asleep in class, and that was at university. And he only did it once.
