A tragically under-appreciated film, it only received gongs for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Film Editing, Best Makeup, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Visual Effects.

Ahh yes the Oscars. Used to be something to watch. Now it’s all about posing. Hilarious that the posers are destroying the star of Emily Perez over some old posts. Talk about self destructive behavior.

Not only that, but a travel film for New Zealand. Terrific set of films. Watch them every year, even all the extras. Lota popcorn.

All of the ‘LoTR’ movies should’ve cleaned up at the awards show…

I wonder if Jason read the books, or only saw the movies.

I read the books many times when I was young, the first time when I was around 9. Still liked them as an adult. Didn’t like the movies at all, which seems to put me in the minority, but what you gonna do?

And yes, of course a movie can’t be exactly like the book it’s based on, but sometimes it’s better not to make the movie at all. Except, of course, for all the money it might rake in.

I think I hear Jason screaming like a nutcase.
