I’ve posted links to other comic sites here, without problem. See the 08 August 2010 strip here, where I link to the 11 August 2010 strip on comics.com. As of this writing, my link is still there and active.
If you linked to a site which was posting a strip in violation of copyright, then I can see GoComics doing something like deleting your post. I suppose if a comment was flagged enough times, then it would be deleted, but I have a hard time seeing that happening with a link to another version of a comic.
@napaeric Re: Who’s responsible for updates
GoComics seems to be having problems with updates on several strips recently. Use the “Contact Us” link near the bottom of the page to send them a message. I’ve done this in the past and they generally respond and fix the problem in a day or two. FWIW, I use the “General Inquiry” subject.
