Girl 1: What did Frazz get you for your Christmas, Miss Plainwell? Miss Plainwell: A little something silky and wispy and comfortable and form-fitting. Girl 1: He got her running clothes again. Girl 2: boooring!
Gotta assume it’s running gear, cos if it weren’t, or she didn’t know they’d think it was… it would be an inappropriate thing for a teacher to tell an elementary school student.
Re: All answers so far: This is a perfect double-entendre, for all of the reasons offered. Adults can interpret either way – nightie or activewear – and still choose whether or not to interpret it in “adult terms”; kids will interpret as they’re ready for.
And I agree – a woman all covered up in ski or “racing” gear can be sexier, if there’s fire in her eyes . . .
Notsoastute….True story: Three weeks ago I subbed in a health class….They had to take a quiz…..about reproductive organs….So there I was handing out very graphic images of penises and vaginas to sixth grade boys and girls…They had to label the parts…All the parts… .A little awkward, but they handled it very well…(Kids today are great!)…Couldn’t help thinking though, that if I did that on a street corner I’d be put away…
Reminded of when I announced at our rehearsal dinner that I had gotten my bride “a little something to wear on our honeymoon” – then let her unbox the small bottle of mosquito repellent. The honeymoon was in Minnesota.

It’s the "comfortable’ that probably gave it away.

Susan, that was exactly my thought! Besides, even at that age that’s what they’re thinking, no need to encourage it!

I vote for running clothes NOW, but we should all be aware that Valentine’s Day will be here soon

Best part of being in a bicycle club? Women in lycra. Worst part? men in lycra. (at least from my point of view.)

Not boring for her. Besides, some women’s athletic wear is quite fetching looking.

Maybe Frazz and Jane will get married at the starting line in Boston.
