Not really, Mr. Spaetzle. At your age, you carry most of what you need to know in your head. At times it seems just as heavy as that back pack. The coffee is just to ‘oil the bearings.’
One thing I remember about my gradeschool days is that we, as students never saw teachers eat or drink or chew gum, never mind carry around a mug of coffee. Far all we knew these people didn’t poop.
I’m amazed at how heavy my first grade granddaughter’s backpack is. I wonder how healthy it is to have that much weight on a growing spine. What’s in it? Lunchbox. Required full water bottle. Required school tablet (has homework). Books assigned to be read to parents at home for practice, which get swapped out every few days. Extra sweater. Homework worksheets. Often library books on their way home or on their way back.

Well, when you have an office and bookshelves, you don’t need a book bag.

If you ditch the book bag, what’s going to stop the bullets?

One look tells me that Mr. Spaetzle is carrying around a lot more weight than a book bag.

You didn’t see him cart his ‘brief case’ in to work at 6:30am. File boxes, crafting demonstrations, homework, etc.

What was the question? See, that is an actual question
So, was it, how long will it be before he forgets and leaves the cup sitting on his car and driving off?

Maybe he passed. After all, the kids can’t wait to be like him…

It helps to do the reading before class, then you don’t need to lug around a backpack full of textbooks.
