Caulfield probably throws off the grade curve and somebody isn’t happy. First time I have seen this kind of openly unhappy expression of feelings from other students toward Caulfield. Been lots of negative comments about him from readers but not action from a student.
I’m older than many of you, but no class I was in — from first grade through university — was ever graded on a curve. The purpose of the grade was to compare me to the subject, and not to my classmates.

It makes sense. The harder the crossword, the worse Mrs Olsen’s mood. Ergo, the tests become harder.

These kids get a quiz every day of the week? Including Sundays? What kind of school is this‽

He’s like a reverse class clown: just as disruptive, but not doing it for popularity.

Don’t compare Miss Olson to Will Shortz, please.
