I’ve always been bemused by the fact that “happy hour” is almost always longer than an hour… and often only happens on weekdays. And when I go into a bar, regardless of the hour, for the most part, the regulars sitting in the dim corner are anything BUT happy. Those are the folks breaking whatever that “law” would be.
Caulfield, some people you’ll know won’t want to see you happy and will be happy to share their misery with you. I’ve known people like that during my life, and have learned to shed them quickly.
Kid, at your age, happiness is spontaneous and fulfilling. There are no limits or inhibitions. As you get older, you’ll find happiness must be rationed and hard sought and thus treasured for its rarity.

With all the things he claims to know about, he has no idea what Happy Hour is?

The sign said “Happy Hour”, not “Happy People”, Caulfield.
