Consistency only improves things when you are NOT repeating your mistake(s).

Maybe the vacation will cause you to lift your head and look around, absorb the actual world, as opposed to the tiny constructs of a 3×7 screen and a tinny earpiece.

From the time since everyone felt the need to give their children cellphones (“For their SAFETY!”) that’s all I see when in public places where parents are dragging their kids. Flaccid expression, fingers flying, totally oblivious to whether they are in a store, movie theater, national park, public restroom, …

Consistency is not the key to everything. That’s another bad assumption in frame one. Kids aren’t very bright.
