One of THOSE! I believe you, Fred. The secret tormentors. When they grow up, they are the ones who insult you but say it with a smile so anyone who hears them will think it’s just a tease, but you know and they know you know what they really did. If called on it, they say they were just “teasing”.
I firmly believe that young children should always be closely supervised around pets. Even kids who aren’t sneaky can be unpredictable and can provoke animals.
I was always told to let the animal approach you. If you approached the animal, it’s not the animal’s fault that you got bitten. It’s your faulty because you made the animal afraid and not knowing if you were going to harm them or not. They are only defending themselves.
I’m sorry; I’m with Fred on this one! As an owner, it’s MY job to protect my dog from situations that might cause her pain or get her in trouble; that includes protecting her from bratty kids!
We had a very approachable dog. I would take him out for a walk, and three or four toddlers could come up, surround him, and pat every part they could reach. Shadow barely noticed because he was always too busy sniffing the ground.

My Mother’s spaniel growled at my toddler. We were worried. A little later we found them asleep together. He was just warning her and she learnt

Platinum blonde mom and daughter. When Fred said “Butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth”, does that mean that she is cold?

no one ever sees who threw the first punch but they always see the defensive response and think that was the first strike

Good boy, Fred. Sounds like she had it coming.

I think Amanda needs to be nipped, nudged, tweaked and tugged a bit.
