Try a trade school. A whole lot cheaper and some a lot better life time total pay than those fancy degrees and huge student loans to pay off.

I never had the money to go…I got married instead and did the best with the jobs I had.

Apply for every scholarship and or bursary possible. Even a $100 bursary will help.

Send him to a trade school. A fraction of the cost and a well-paying job when he finishes.

Or go to a local community college, transfer after two years to a local university (living at home saves a fortune). And graduate with a degree from the university.

The G.I. Bill paid for my first (engineering) degree. Later, the private company I worked for (for 40 years) paid 80% of the MBA. So it can be done without burdensome debt.
