What’s the deal with there being a new Frog Applause every day? WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH OUR TERESA?

Remember the old movie from the 60s … Sweet Sweetback? -His girlfriend’s wish seems reasonable to me … give it a try..

Secret Pilot is highly reminiscent of the Moth Man cryptid/paranormal/UFO phenomenon. I wonder when it was published?

“Secret Pilot” was published in 1954. I can’t find anything about the plot, but apparently it was a boy’s adventure story. One comment said that the story began at a secret RAF college, so I’ll guess it was set in contemporary England.

I remember that book! What I don’t remember is the fact that my mom read it to me each time she was going to have another kid and every time I was dead-set against it. I turned out to be right, of course. ;-)

I have no idea what Z-rays might be. It sounds like some science-fictional invention that would let a character do whatever the plot demands. Maybe that secret college was really RAF Hogwarts.

Glad to see the strip is back and per the question about every day – why NOT? Anything good is better every day ;-DSorry Teresa lost her counter. For the short time I bothered with a web site, I used one of those (did not fit my business model) and I actually prefer working for a company. If I moved back to IL I could still do drafting and design at my old company (spoke to them in January). I have not been keeping up with changes in the software, tho’ so no writing the menus without considerable study (I’m up for that).

All I have used sugar for (other than cooking) is smoothing the skin. I pour a little into my hand w lather from glycerine soap for a facial scrub (or elsewhere) but I have dry skin and no hair except for a little where it’s needed. I’ll get out my Annotated Alice to check that quote (as I don’t recall).

The sluggard described in the original belongs in Mama (her son Francis).

Very familiar with the concept (so many exhibit such tendencies) but never knew of it as a disease. A similar tendency is relegated to many men and some women; my Cuban X was of the opinion “if I can’t have you, noone will”.

@ Rabbit, of course he wasn’t; he was writing stories for children and yes, many of the scholars over-analyse him. I loved Jabberwocky and such just for all the nonsense words. Read as a child, then to my 4 kids and some of the grandkids (the ones who lived near at “reading to” age).
