Gil is using every trick in the book to distract his opponent — presumably Kaz — from making this short putt. Reading text messages while on the green isn’t exactly showing the dedication to golf that Gil promised Mimi.
Nearly August 1st and we finally get to Milford CC. Much like O.J. searching the world’s golf courses for the “real killers”, Gil is scouring Milford’s for his missing children. And could that be a Kaz sighting? Here’s hoping he’s shooting for the cup closest to the giant 7/30 and not the one closer to him. At least he’s lining up for that one. Gil’s stump has relegated him to holding the flag for Kaz(?).
And of course, a couple of more hands for Mop’s collection
Assuming that’s Kaz — hard to tell with the crappy artwork when Whigham draws people from a distance — he last appeared on May 29, so he’s been gone for 61 days.
In all reality ,in P 2 shouldn t Barbara Striestands song People be playing in the backround ? " People , people who need people are the luckiest people in the world.
Hmm, do you think Gil is being Kaz’s personal caddy? Kind of a favor for a favor type of thing? Keeping Kaz quiet so he doesn’t tell the school board Gil never showed up to coach any practices this year.
Lotta enlarged hand jive recently. P1- Who is this kid with True & Rodney, the prized recruit of Slippery Rock? P3- Is Kaz terminal? Never seen him so thin. Maybe why he has been missing.
Finally some golf, but too late for a summer golf story? If they start one it sure won’t be for very long. And speaking of very long, you didn’t have to wait very long for today’s Mopped Up Thorp.
I’m going to count P1 as two in the “one hand out” category – that brings us up to 23.No MUT tomorrow or Saturday, I’ll publish those probably on Sunday. Heading off to Chicago where I am definitely not rendezvousing with anyone that lives out there, no sirree, totally innocent.
Wonder where we’re going with this. It’s starting to look like True will get disillusioned and go through a crisis in which he decides not to play football this year. His father will have a fit but Gil’s understanding will save the day.

Late to the party again. What’s Gil holding in his right hand in P3 – a bottle of NyQuil or a martini shaker?

For some ‘real’ entertainment (especially ‘CJ’) go to today’s AZ Comics and read the comments on POPEYE. I apologize in advance to anyone that does.
