Godzilla never scared me. I was young enough that when he died, I cried!!! Howsomever, Creature From the Black Lagoon & Teenage Werewolf scared me spitless! And do NOT get me going on a life-long hatred of spiders, due to my coming out to the LR to see why my Dad was up so late & catching a scene with tarantulas in the war movie he was watching!!!
When I was little (5 or 6) and scared of monsters under the bed, not only did my father laugh at me, but he told the neighbors so they could laugh at me too. Then he decided it would be fun to randomly startle me, and then tell the neighbors about that too, so they could all have a good laugh at my expense.
I provided my sister’s closet with monsters – specifically Aurora models of the Wolfman and the Creature with selected glow-in-the-dark parts. She saw them as eyes looking out …

Have you learned nothing from “Monsters Inc.?”

I wouldn’t worry about monsters too much. That old house is probably full of ghosts, though.

They also live in the minds of kids who grew up watching Godzilla movies like me.

Never had a problem with monsters under the bed, unless my brother on the bottom bunk counts.

Ours lived in the furnace in a room next to our bedroom. It would always roar and we had a few seconds to go under the covers where were safe.
