Sad end to a very touching story.

Thanks, I was hoping for a happy ending, now I’m sad…. way to go! Sheesh

No, wait! Maybe the dog got taken to a shelter! And maybe its paw got fixed! And maybe it got adopted by a loving family and lived out a long and happy life! Maybe!!!

The story’s not over yet, folks. This strip doesn’t usually do unhappy endings so let’s just see where this goes.

“Stay…..tooned”?

I’m hoping not only for a happy ending for the poor dog, but for some payback to those bullies.

Not all dogs get killed. Even back then, people were doing their very best to find animals a new home.

Well, at least the poor dog had a few days? weeks? of love and care.

I’ve always mentally rewritten dreams and stories with endings I hate to happy endings. If this one stops here, Rusty is going to get one heck of a happy ending in my mental space.

say this isn’t the end of the story… leaving us to imagine Rusty’s future.

My dog passed away, 2 weeks ago, I didn’t anticipate the amount of grief I’m feeling, she was my best friend and I’m feeling completely lost.

I’m not a dog lover, but I do believe in justice and retribution. If Mrs. A was my kid, I would have been at the police station swearing out a complaint against the 2 bullies for assaulting my kid and see how their mom likes visiting her brats in juvie.

This better have a happy ending.

Sad. Just a sad sad story. Wish I hadn’t tuned in today.

I guess the moral of THIS little tale is that the bullies always win. And I refuse to believe that!

Well, we got our dog at the shelter…so it might be a happy ending for Rusty…

We had our dog for over fourteen years, and they estimated that she was about two years old when they found her, and she died close to three years ago…it seems just like yesterday because we still miss her so much.

Wow not liking this ending at all….very disappointed…

Not a good story, Mark; it may be reality, but that’s not what I read your “comic” for…
